Yes, I have used it to check back on previous posts. I'll remember the day or close to it and it was easier to use the calendar to find it. But that is about all.

I was asking because I never use the darn thing on mine or anyone else's blog.
I either use the search feature or click on the monthly archive link then CTRL+F for a key word.

I've used it to check a current date, but that's only because the thought was in my head while I was on that page. I can move my mouse to the top right of my screen and get the same thing.
I tried having one in my sidebar and thought it just cluttered up the landscape. Besides, no one reads me but mothers and a few people who've actually met me

I can't remember which date I've posted things anyway. I need to use the post titles for myself.
I haven't found any need to use them on anyone else's blog... yet.

I use mine because when you hover over a date, it shows all the titles of that day's posts. So if I'm looking for a post and remember approximately when I wrote it, it's a handy way to find the post I want.
Also, to make sure I don't miss a day blogging.
I don't use it on other people's sites, though.
