2996 - IF YOU WANT ONE, HURRY UP

2754 (91.9%) of 2,996 Victims have been Assigned to Honor.

If you've been on the fence about volunteering for this project, now would be a good time to get some grass under your feet.

I considered doing one myself, but decided against it because my feelings about 9/11 are completely rooted in blood-boiling rage, and I'm concerned that I couldn't keep that in check sufficiently to make a post with the theme of honoring one of the fallen.

Nevertheless, it's a worthy project, so I'm spreading the word.

1 You and me both Harvey. I've been working on my post already (something I NEVER do - write ahead) and I'm just still so very very very angry.

2 Anytime I get to "blood-boiling rage" over 9/11, I watch some more videos and slide shows from that day, and I'm not quite as sedate about it, anymore. I need to calm down to get to "blood boiling rage".

3 Same reason I didn't sign up. I'll honor them after they've been avenged.

4 I've signed up, and it is difficult to write that post. I'm still not done. I get pissed and depressed. But then I think of the victims' families, and I want them to know that I haven't forgotten. I can't go 'fight the fight' in the middle east or elswhere, so I'll fight it in words, and honor someone who died simply because they were an American. They didn't have a chance to speak up for themselves, so I will try to do it for them.
