WELL, I'M *SOME* KIND OF "VERT", ANYWAY

Bloggranddaugher VW Bug of One Happy Dog Speaks passed this article along to me titled "Caring for Your Introvert - The habits and needs of a little-understood group".

I liked this paragraph:

The worst of it is that extroverts have no idea of the torment they put us through. Sometimes, as we gasp for air amid the fog of their 98-percent-content-free talk, we wonder if extroverts even bother to listen to themselves. Still, we endure stoically, because the etiquette books written, no doubt, by extroverts regard declining to banter as rude and gaps in conversation as awkward. We can only dream that someday, when our condition is more widely understood, when perhaps an Introverts' Rights movement has blossomed and borne fruit, it will not be impolite to say "I'm an introvert. You are a wonderful person and I like you. But now please shush."

This is what it's like for me every day at work, as I grind my teeth and pray for surcease of prattling from the 75-watt bulbs who surround me.

Family Reunions, of course, are another matter entirely.

1 Ahhh, and I thought I was one of the few. I've been getting into this personality and psychology stuff a lot recently due to school and work, and I really like it. I am also an introvert and become even more introverted as I am surrounded by extroverts. Another reason why I love blogging!

2 Bah! Introvert, extrovert, convert... I've always been called a pervert, but I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm a personal vert.

4 I see two issues. 1) Remembering the personal info doesn't work here. 2) I can't delete an entry if I have screwed up. I found the article over at Prochein Amy's blog. http://procheinamy.blog-city.com/ I'm also VERY tired.
