1 Way back when I had time... oh eons ago it seems... I was part of a comment board and one of the members was a Kuwaiti woman. She was from a wealthy family (of course or she wouldn't have been on the net) and was married to an even wealthier man. Just after 9/11 we had quite long discussion threads where we asked her input on Muslims, trying to make sense of things... trying in some ways to find out the thinking patterns from someone directly in the area and a woman at that. The topic wandered onto this type of ritual killing. She said she had asked her father at one time, if she or one of her 2 sisters was caught in an illicit tryst what would he do? He casually said he would have killed them. He didn't even have to think about it. He wouldn't like it, but it would be necessary! I think she was shocked by this, as her family was pretty "progressive" - it wasn't the answer she expected. You have to wonder about the sanity of a male population that can even begin to consider killing their own daughters as a "punishment". Just to save family face... It's absolutely repulsive. Then again I've always said - if the radicals invade - I'd be the first to go because there's no way I'd give in to their insane idea of a woman's life... Hey - I just had a thought - if the radicals invaded... I'd be an insurgent... then the liberals would love me... EWWWW!!!
