*ANY* CAR I WANT?

Blogson That 1 Guy of Drunken Wisdom asks:

If some one were to offer to buy you any car, or truck, with no strings attached, and no limits as far as spending, what would you ask for?

Probably this thing that's been hanging on my wall for nearly 20 years:

1 I would go all out and maybe go with that Bugatti Veyron with its 16.4 l engine. It just topped 400km an hour (248.5 mph).

2 AHHHHH! The Corvette with the mid-70's Stingray body styling. I owned a '75 Stingray (fire engine red) for a few years. Unfortunately for me, the '75 was the slowest Corvette ever made (but still damned fast!). The reason it was so slow was that in '74 Congress passed a bunch of anti-pollution laws that went into effect to soon for the Detroit engineers to do anything except de-tune the engine (things like catalytic converters hadn't been invented yet). But still... that L48 engine... when that traffic light turned green, all you had to do was barely press the accelerator and feel that comfortable "push" back into your seat, very much like being on a large passenger jet during take-off roll. SWEET.

4 I think "KiT" from Knight Rider would be the best choice. It's made from molecular bonded material!

5 Can't go wrong with a corvette!

6 Just wanted to correct myself: I think that is an early 80's 'Vette... but the Stingray body style is from the '70's. They didn't change it much until about 1989, when they went to an awful boxy look. Fortunately, the styling is better these days - the 2005 is a nice-lookin' 'Vette, but still not as pleasing to the eye (IMHO) as the old Stingrays.

7 Actually, the pacecar edition is from '78, and the last Stingray body was 82. After that, they flattened the hood, and it hasn't looked sexy since :-/
