AMERICA! SHE'S A GREAT COUNTRY, NO?

Blogdaughter Sally of Whimsy Capricious is guest-posting for bloggranddaughter VW Bug of One Happy Dog Speaks.

Such a mutually supportive little family I have :-)

Today's question is:

What are the most beautiful, or exciting places in the United States, in your opinion?

Perhaps you'd like to share your memories, or even photographs, at your own blog? If so, please leave a trackback.

I've been all over this great nation (courtesy of Uncle Sam, the Navy, and you - the generous American Taxpayer... and I suppose I should also thank the commies & terrorists who made my job necessary), and I think the obvious answer to this question is:

Newport News, Virginia.

Why?

God Bless America!

2 Newport News? You spent waaaaay too much time at sea, chum. And if you love it so much, why haven't you come to visit?

3 Of all the ports I've been to, Newport News blew the biggest chunks. Except maybe for San Diego :-)
