COMMENT PARTY!

Blogdaughter Teresa of Technicalities posts:

After tonight I won't be online again until Friday.

WHEN will people learn not to announce that their blogs have been left unattended?

Meanwhile, Beloved Wife TNT of Smiling Dynamite has brought in a case of Tequila, and bloggranddaughter Sissy of And What Next... is already requesting Marines - she's just insatiable!

Anyway, I know JUST what this party needs, so I'm headed over there...

FAMILY HISTORY

So people keep hearing about this "Bad Example Family", how we're a bunch of sick, twisted, perverts & troublemakers.

But ya figure... we were all kids once, too.

Sweet, innocent, charming, harmless...

*sound of needle being dragged across a record*

Yeah, I'm feeding you bullshit.

Blogdaughter Tammi of Tammi's World has the REAL scoop on the Bad Example Family: The Early Years.

'Tain't pretty, but it's about right.

BIRTHDAY GIRL

Blogdaughter Boudicca of Boudicca's Voice is having a birthday today.

I have to say that for a 40 year old mother of three boys, she's still lookin' pretty damn hot.

JUST WANTED TO GIVE A LITTLE APPLAUSE

To blogson GA Mongrel for volunteering at a Red Cross shelter in Atlanta.

I just hope the phrase "I helped rearrange the nurses station" isn't a euphemism for something naughty...

IT'S A BOY!

Bloggranddaughter Sarah the Penguin of Because We Have Thumbs went & spawned me a bloggreatgrandson:

Tom of Son Of A DJ

And a peek into the bassinet reveals:

Traditional sucky first post - Yeesh! This one raises the bar.

Looks like he's going to be quoting Family Guy as his hook, and I couldn't ask for anything more. I *love* that show. Meanwhile, there's a quote of his own:

I'm in radio. Yea, you know, that thing I learned from four years of college and thousands of dollars later.......the job where you don't even need a HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION.....haha, yep, THAT ONE!

As someone with a finance degree whose first day-job was a BANK TELLER, I can definitely relate.

A nice piece on the meaning of life and his personal example of helping flood victims - all marred by the casual use of a work-related acronym! Evil, evil Tom! You're lucky I used to be a "WKRP in Cincinnati" fan, or I wouldn't know what a PD is. Others may not be so fortunate. Just remember to speak down to your readership, as though they were mildly retarded children or particularly bright chihuahuas, and you'll be fine.

Tom says the problems in New Orleans aren't Bush's fault. SOMEONE'S not getting the Mainstream Media's talking points memo.

Bloody loose cannon, that's what this boy is. Possibly a heretic.

Although wrapping it in a humorous incident, he does bring up an interesting question: "What exactly does the House of God mean?" Offhand, I'd say it's a metaphorical analogy to the way a particular person's primary residence strongly reflects that individual's character.

Anyway, Tom, you can pick up a Bad Example Family logo from this post, and you may, if you wish, blogroll the rest of the Bad Example Family using the handy blogrolling javascript, although neither is a requirement.

Meanwhile you can look forward - with either anticipation or dread - to regular visits and comments from me.

Welcome home.

IT'S A GIRL!

Y'all knew this one was coming.

Blogless niece Sarah now has her own blog: That's Not Very Nice!

Just a few hours old, so let's see what she's got already:

Traditional sucky first post - OH yeah.

A little bit about herself - husband, son, lunatic uncle, and a strong desire to put incriminating stories into print.

And the beginning of the not-boring-or-sucky stuff: A thought-provoking question about the price of gasoline.

Anyway, Sarah, you can pick up a Bad Example Family logo from this post, and you may, if you wish, blogroll the rest of the Bad Example Family using the handy blogrolling javascript, although neither is a requirement. (And yes, I'll help you with those)

Meanwhile you can look forward - with either anticipation or dread - to regular visits and comments from me.

Welcome home.

I HAVEN'T AUCTIONED ANYTHING SINCE I SOLD MY WIFE'S PANTIES ON EBAY

So I'm obviously not the person to help bloggranddaughter ArmyWife of ArmyWifeToddlerMom, in her quest to run a charity auction:

I have met a woman from my little blog here, she is a daughter of a veteran, a writer, a Christian...And a Mom. I popped in her blog yesterday and mentioned she might want to sign a few books and auction them off for Katrina relief, with proceeds going to Soldiers Angels.

Well before you know it, she calls a friends, who calls a friend...and we have several writers willing to donate books, web designers willing to donate blog designs, we even have people willing to donate candles and crafts.......

The problem is this. Suzanne and I both are technologically challenged. We can blog and e-mail by chance. So we are unsure if we should set up an auction on e-bay, on blogger, on my site? Do we set up a pay pal account that is for soldiers angels.....?

So it looks like we will need help implementing the WORK part of this.....

I am also looking for more donations.....

Anyone with time, energy, tech skills, and a patient and honest heart is welcome....

However, if you know of anyone with such talents (or are such an anyone yourself), let ArmyWife know.
